NYS Immunization Requirements for College Students

NYS Public Health Law requires all college students currently registered for 6 credit hours or more to submit proof of Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) and to review information about the meningitis vaccination and make an informed decision.  Students can sign a Meningococcal Waiver (available through the Counseling, Disability & Health Services portal or hard copy in Building 3, Room 103).  Any student who fails to comply with the immunization requirements by February 19, 2025 at 11:59pm will be withdrawn from in-person/hybrid courses and a registration hold will be added to their account.  This may also place the student at risk of financial implications.

Health Services continuously engages in numerous efforts related to immunization compliance, including but not limited to, sending weekly communications to all non-compliant students, ongoing collaborations with various offices on campus, and interfaces with the New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS) in attempt that students become compliant by the deadline.  We extend our appreciation to all faculty/staff on campus who are willing to remind students of these requirements.

Please refer student directly to Health Services and/or to the FAQ’s related to immunizations.
